A DDR5 desktop module is not a DDR4 stick with a new label. JEDEC’s UDIMM outline is still 133.35 mm long and 31.25 mm high, but the module now carries its own power-management chip, fed by the 5 V bulk pin, and that chip makes the 1.1 V rails for the DRAM. Heat sits on the chips and on that power chip. A shell stacked on top of a factory metal plate never touches either one. The plate has to come off first, and the memory maker’s warranty terms are what decide whether that is covered.

FBRAMLD-01 is aluminum alloy. Titan Rig and a second listing both print 134 × 32 × 7.9 mm, and the second listing calls 32 mm the overall height and limits the part to DDR5 UDIMMs. Order one per stick. Four sticks means four parts.
The pad line on that second listing is for the DRAM packages and the power chip. Those parts are hidden while a factory plate is still glued on. The product text describes an air armor: a dragon-scale fin face to put copper against the air, and a plated face on the other side. The datasheet line is 134 × 34.15 mm and T2 copper. SKU B-MRC-X. The page’s memory line is DDR5. Photos of a full bank do not change the box: a buyer on the distributor page had to point out that one purchase is one DIMM.

Does every DDR5 kit need a new heatsink?
A module that already has a metal plate is already using one. These parts replace that plate so a pad can reach the chips and the power chip. A bare OEM stick is the module that has neither.
Can a DDR4 heatsink go on DDR5?
